Michael Jacobsen is celebrating 20th anniversary at Nordmark

In the years 2002 – 2007 the company was located at Sæby Harbor, first in one workshop and then a few more workshops were rented as the company expanded. At an early stage Ejnar and Michael started the machining of extra-large items. A sustained focus on developing this expertise has over the years proven to be the right decision. Large end-customers such as Vestas and Siemens Gamesa opened their eyes to Nordmark in Sæby, and the collaboration between the foundries, end-customers and Nordmark – especially over the last 10 years, has resulted in numerous projects and total solutions for the major wind turbine giants.

In 2007 Ejnar and Michael Jacobsen acquired land on Kjeldgaardsvej 10 where a large modern facility was built, and in 2010 Nordmark was able to move into brand new premises. Michael has had a large share in Nordmark’s success, as he is a skilled specialist in the machining industry. It does not go unnoticed that Michael spends many hours at the factory in Sæby every week – but he always has time to care for both his employees and their families as well as his own family and friends. The future looks bright for Nordmark – the company has expanded to be a group of companies with locations in Skagen, Hedensted and Cuxhaven in Germany. In spring 2022 the Danish private equity fund, Catacap, bought 65 % of the company, meaning a new journey for Nordmark is in its beginning.

What started out as visionary and ambitious father-son project will now accelerate further, and the transformation of Nordmark into a green energy company will facilitate the ongoing globalization of the company.

The day is celebrated internally at Nordmark between colleagues.
